Gingerbread house

So my parents bought all of my brothers a bingerbread house. My kids were not feeling great that night so we decided to take it home and do it family homw evening. The kids had been asking THE WHOLE day on when we were going to make it. When Matt got homw boy were they spazing. Orrin actually stayed up to eat all the candy that fell on the floor. Megan and Austin decorated the roof and Matt the decorator in out family wanted to outline the windows and doors. He did a great job. Megan wanted all the stars and she took her time with it. I was impressed with Austin that he took his time. So here is the gingerbread house. Mom and dad thanks for the house it was lot of fun.

Preschool Thanksgiving party

Austin's preschool class did a Thanksgiving dinner. His teachers were really on top of it by having the children make the decorations and costumes. The parents brought in most of the food and the kids were excited to eat food for their snack time. Austin opted to be the indian rather than the pilgrim. He liked the feathers. He is the oldest in his class so most of the children watch what he does nad for the most part the class room was filled with indians. When he decided to put the pilgrims costume on the other kids did so after. I hope everyone had fun.

Matt's creative outlet

So last year I saw Sara Phipps making these adorable yarn hats. She told me that Walmart and Joann sold these circular hoops with knobs on them. Matt found them and bought it for me. This year he has gotten into making them. He made one or two them for each one of our children. He like to do them. He has made 10 of them. Kuddos to my honey for being creative and making comething cute.

Doing my aprons

I have some what of an excuse in why I haven't been blogging. I have sewing a lot. I got a juob at Buckle. I am an alterations person who hems up the pants. I also have been sewing aprons, quilos, and diaper bags. I have been selling them at craft shows. So I have been quite busy with thread and fabric. Since finishing the Twilight series I needed another obsession and boy did I find that. My laudry room is filled with craft things now. I have found out that I haven't want to shop but more make. Sharon Elberry is awesome and very inspiring person to make things. She got me to want to make things for myself. Hopefully now I can save some money. Thank all of you who donated fabric to my obession. I have had fun. Here some of the ones I made.

Pumpkin carving

So my dad gave us this pumpkin and so that night we decided to carve it. As a child that was the fun to see what came out. Matt got really creative and printed out a face and traced that onto the pumpkin. Instead of using a knife the enitre time he used this drill. It ended up way cute but it took a while. When opening up the pumpkin to get the seeds all out my kids didn't not like the idea of putting their hands in there. Matt was getting frustrated because no one wanted to participate. So yes I went and did it. I got out most of the seeds. I wanted to take pictures non the less of them doing it. So I ended up taking Orrin's pacifier and putting it into the pumpkin to just get him near the pumpkin. Megan with her chefs hat finally did that as well. Austin was the last and he didn't like it at all.

Halloween

Okay so aI got a lot of crap for doing this more often and so here it goes. We stayed here for Halloween and went to the trunck or treat at the church building. They had some good chili and corn bread. Austin had fun going from one to another car with Porter. Austin was Spiderman. He wanted to put on his mask but Megan kept on screaming when the mask was put on. So Austin got frustrated for a while didn't want to be spiderman then I found out that trunk or treat couldn't have masks. Yes that worked out. Megan was Cinderella. That really suprised me beause she was Dora at her school party. She doesn't liek to dress up but that night she went into her dress up clothes and old me she wanted to be Cinderella. She liked the necklaces, her princess shoes, and best of all putting on make up. That just isn't Megan to want to do this stuff so I think her girly side is coming out. Orrin ended up being an ASU football player. He was so cute!!! After trunck or treat we went over to the Farabee and tried to have fun there. There were a lot of fun familes over there. However with my children these days they make a fun place so miserable. There were super heros everywhere with masks on and doggies so Megan would not get off of me. She is also scared of dogs. Orrin got really tired very early and wanted to also be held. So even though a lot of fun people were there I wanted to get out of there. Austin is fun now and likes dogs and hanging around people now. YEA!!! So thanks Farabees for the invitation the food was great!!!! The kids have fun dressing up and getting candy. Megan kept on getting more and more excited when she received more candy. Her eyes popped out some of the times. Orrin had no idea, next wil be a lot more fun.

Halloween House

So my parents gave my family a gingerbread Halloween house. Austin and Megan wanted to make it. So the good daddy that MAtt is he helped them make it. It is funny the pictures on the box make it looks so easy to do then when making it the frosting never stays in place. It was still fun to see the kids look at the candy that was supposed to go onto the house put in their mouths. I like how it came out.

October 11th

This is Austin's Birthday!!!! Matt and I decided to give a party to Austin since he turned five years. We asked our good friends Matt and Melissa Long to get their brother in law bounce house. He was wonderful in letting us rent it for free. The kids absolutely loved using it. If any one is even considering using one for a party- completely awesome idea. We had 12 kids there playing and of course I attempted to play some other games. I put on a scavenger hunt. The kids went all over the house to about 7-8 places to find the pictures. The search ended in the backyard. I made them skip, run, clap their hands, and other guffy things to make them look funny. Thanks to Ashley Kasperson for helping me with the pictures and printing them out. The other idea I had was a water balloon relay. Of course that didn't work very well. So after running around the bounce house four to five times we threw them down and got a little wet. So the rest of the time was spent in the bounce house.
During the party our dryer acted up and stopped working. Thank goodness I had Chuck and my dad coming down to see Austin as well. After taking out the dryer from our laundry room Matt took it apart. I was amazed how good Matt was to take things apart. I am not that confident to do such a thing. A cord ended up getting down in the lint trap and screwed up the wheel. It took Matt six hours to get everything back in working order. After the party Matt's parents and sister came over to celebrate and eat lunch with us. Austin is really into Diego and so they bought many Diego things. Austin seemed like he was on cloud nine. He also got a cool bike. That was fun to see them. We enjoyed everyone's company. A little later my parents came over to help pick up and have fun. They gave him a lego batman for the Wii. We thank everyone for coming and hoped everyone had fun.

Austin's Birthday at the Newitts

Well for General Conference we went to my parent's house. I try every General Conference to hear each speakers but I end up sleeping or taking care of my kids. Does any one else do the same thing? I was able to go to the Womens Broadcast with my mom and Sister in laws. That was a treat to listen to speakers and feel the spirit. I did miss President Hinckley and his funny comments as well. President Monson has a different way of talking. He is very sincere and quiet speaker. Well so since my brothers we busy and couldn't be with us on Austin's birthday we decided to celebrate then. We went early in the morning and stayed the day. My kids love going there. They go on bike rides, play baseball in the backyard, do puzzles, and of course get as mauch candy as possible. So Austin got his Halloween costume Spiderman from my parents. Megan has a hard time with scary things espacially masks so we will see if she will stand besides Austin when he puts his costume on. Austin also got Power Rangers from Tate, Hotwheels track from Kyle and Amy, and a Batman Shirt from Craig with some stickers. We all had fun seeing the family. We get together once a month at my parents to see each other.

My wife is crazy

Ok MAtt here again just thought I would post this for you all. I know you all have read, are reading or have heard of the Twilight book by Stephenie Meyer. My wife is crazy about these books, not just because she knows Stephenie, but because she was engrossed in these books. Can you say I have never seen someone read a book so quick. Just to give you an idea, I bought her the last (4th) book the day it came out in Utah. She started reading it thursday night, we drove home friday. She finished the book saturday morning. I know driving you have a lot of time but it was crazy because she made me drive with the light on so she could read. She even is making me a tee-shirt the says also one that says how crazy is this woman. Here is a hint

So for all you wives out there that haven't gotten in to this or that are just getting started please don't put your husbands through this. But hey who am I to tell you not to fall in love with a vampire or a werewolf. Even worse a friend of ours went to Forks WA and took several pictures and she freaked when she saw this It is the Cullen house ( I guess that is where Edward lived), Bellas truck, and a note from the Cullen family! WOOPIE!! Can you hear my excitement.

Well enough of my blabbering remember the movie comes out November 21st. Don't plan on doing anything that night.

Hey guys Matt here, I don't do many posts just the behind the scenes stuff trying to make things look good. I wanted to post this for all to try to get the answer first, there may be something in it for that person. Remember to turn up your speakers for some sweet Halloween music!

Austin's first day

Austin's preschool started late because of little formalities dealing with the licensing. He is going to Santa Cruz Elementary School in their preschool class. He is in a speech therapy class to help him out but he is a great student and loved by his teachers!

My birthday

So in August I turned 29. Not yet 30 but of course soon to come. I had a really good birthday. As some of you know I have been in a sewing mood. My friends April Smith started a girls clothing line and asked if I would sew for her. I took the chance and ran with it. I had a lot of fun trying something that I dabbled with here and there. One of the things that I was borrowing was a surger and then a sewing machine. So my mother bought me my awesome surger and my mother in law bought me my wonderful sewing machine. I have been sewing lot of different things. I also got many other gifts that were wonderful. My sweet husband bought me my medicine cabinet for our bathroom. Yeah!!! I now have my bathroom that is organized. Loving that!!
