Cholocate Chip Pancake

Matt got up Friday morning to make me and kids a treat. The kids love when Matt make them pancakes. Well Matt had put a surprise in these pancakes and he wanted to see if the kids would like them. So Austin had a bite and liked it a little bit. Megan liked it a little bit more. But my little man Orrin loved them. Matt put cholocate chips in the pancakes. I couldn't believe how many he put in his mouth. Matt took some shots.

Pizza night

Well we had the chance to watch the Jones kids Tuesday night while Steve and Sarah went to the Diamondbacks game. We played outside in the pool, ran thru the sprinklers, and played in the sand box. We then made pizza's. I thought it would be fun if they made their own. They had fun putting the pizza sauce on the crust. Some had way more pizza sauce than others and it was fun to see where they put the cheese hills and the pepporoni as well. All of them thought about opening up a store because they were so good pizza makers. I of course agreed with them. Some put their initials on them and they were all so proud of them selves. It was a fun but tiring night. We hope they had fun.

Our little pool

My dad bought this pool for the kids. Since I was very lazy to get the pumper I blew up this little pool. The kids have enjoyed it a lot. The slide broke the first day we used it but other than that it has been a pretty fun thing for the kids to play with. Orrin likes to splash Austin and Megan but doesn't like to actually be into the pool. Orrin is still loves the sand box when ever he gets the chance.I am thinking of getting another pool are there any out there that are better than others? Does any one have any suggestions? Thanks

Father's Day

Well for Father's Day I got up and made breakfast for everyone. The kids and I let Matt open his gifts and off we went to my parent's house. Matt was nice enough to spend his day with my family. We were celebrating my brother Craig's birthday as well. The kids really enjoy going to Grandpa and Grandma Newitt's house. They are very spoiled there which might be the reason. My dad BBQ steaks which is another reason we went there besides the company. My dad does good BBQing with steaks! I felt fortunate that for the last two days I have been able to eat steaks, lucky girl I do know. My brother Christian brought over the Wii Fit and boy it is hard doing some of those games. They really do make you excersise.I failed at the hola hoop twice. I need to practice some more!! Everyone else did fairly well besides myself. Craig ended up getting a Wii fit for his birthday. That makes me think about getting one just so I don't make a fool of myself again!!!! Well I love my dad and I am thankful for him and all that he does for my family. I love Matt and I hope all fathers had a fun day!!! Happy birthday Craig!!!

A night with the Longs

We were invited to a BBQ with a friend that Matt works with, Matt Long. He was fixing us steaks and ribs, who would say no to that. He had a little BBQer so I knew it would take some time. He had bought a blow up pool and they had some other fun things to play with in the backyard. The kids had fun. There were a lot of flies out so he introduced us to the fly tape. I had never heard of this stuff but boy did it work. It is tape that you stick to the top of a ceiling and then unravel it and flies fly right in to it. So we will be getting some of it. Anyway the kids got into the swimming pool for a little while and after a while they wanted to get out. So as a stupid mother did I got them out of their suits and put their clothes on. There were more kids on their way to the Long's house so we thought okay we can always put them back on when Megan goes outside and jumps right into the pool with everything on. Megan likes to make life interesting for us. So we got her out of her clothes and into some dry clothes. I also forgot to bring swimmers so I used regular diapers. I was changing Orrin and all the stuffing to the diaper starting seeping out, yeah it grossed me out for some reason. It is hard to clean up. Megan did the same thing. It is worth buying those swimmer diapers, less clean up. Matt and Melissa are very cool people. The kids loved playing with their kids. Megan liked their Nemo hamper. She tried getting in herself and missed miserably. So Matt helped her and she liked being in there for some reason. Thanks for having us it was way fun. Thanks for the Cheeriors.

The long jumper

We were on our way over to Matt Long's house for a BBQ when Matt wanted to turn back to get the marinated meat for the BBQ. Now instead of traveling all the way back and making turn after turn just to get to our house, Matt decided to jump the canal in back on our house. I thought why not it would take us longer to drive and this way he can get some excersise and impress me. So he got as far as he could get before getting into the water and jumped. He did pretty well. But on the way back I would have to say he just about slipped. I think he was sweating it pretty bad. I was impressed because it was a far jump to make. Go my long jumper.

Fire Ladder Truck

We had just found out on Friday that we were unable to go into town and Megan and Austin were pretty sad so I asked them what they wanted to do in the afternoon in Maricopa. The first words from Austin's mouth was fire truck. Then Austin said the ladder truck. So right after he told be I called up a friend who is a chief and was based at the ladder truck that day. What luck!!!! So we invited some friends to come along. It was really nice of the firemen to let the kids squirt the hose, try their equipment on, and sit in the fire truck and honk the horn. I think the best part was when they took the ladder and put the hose thru and squirted the water and got the kids wet. I didn't expect that to happen but they are very cool to have done that for the kids. My kids are very odd they don't like splash pads or really getting wet unless we are in our backyard or if Matt is with us. The Buckmister and Badgers kids both went for getting wet and cooling down. No way no mine they rather stay dry and sweat. There were so many flies around Orrin that I felt bad not letting him get out and walk around. Megan did have fun walking up and down the curb where some water was she is sometimes in her own little world. We had fun, thanks for all that came and to the firemen who are very cool!!!!

Rice Krispies

Well when I was calling women to remind them to come to the Enchrichment mtg Orrin decided to get into the pantry and took out the Rice Krispies cereal and he can now take the bag out and dump it. Which is exactly what he did. Yes the entire bag was on the ground in seconds. Megan and Austin ran over to the big pile and basically slipped and fell on their butts. It is almost like soap being on the floor and slipping and falling over again. The only difference was they could eat it. They had a fun time. They played until Matt got home and he was wondering why all the kids were still awake. He got home LATE. Oops! The next morning Megan found some pieces on the ground and wanted to help mommy by vacuuming it up. She likes to use my little vacuum.

Saturday with dad

When Dad got home and we were wondering what should we do? I decided to go out in the back yard and turn on the sprinklers and let the kids run around. Megan wouldn't get into the water until she was completely naked. Orrin liked the soccer ball and picking it up. Austin and Matt were playing soccer. Matt had told Austin to watch out for the edgers so he wouldn't scrape. his foot. So what does Matt end up doing? Yes he ended up braking his toe. It still hurts him today. Not a good thing. They had fun playing and eating popsicles. We are lucky to have real grass in our backyard.

School is over

Santa Rosa Preschool is over. Austin has been in Ms. Sipple's class and he really liked going to school because of his teacher. Austin started this school year going to Shinning Star Preschool over at Heidi Buckmister's house. He really liked going to her house and playing with all the kids. When had been planning on taking Austin to a school for his for Speech Therapy. Santa Rosa Elementary has the best program in Maricopa. We finally got the phone call and that is how he ended up in the program. We said by to Shinning Star Preschool. Austin has grown a lot going to preschool. Ms. Sipple won't be returning to the school and we are sad to see her go. Austin was very sad the last day because he knew he wouldn't see her. He wanted to make her something with her and his name. So we colored over a coffee cup. It looked really cute. We are proud of Austin for going to school. The graduation was another story. Austin was sad for most of the ceremony. He wouldn't stand up and sing any songs.. He sat next to Ms. Sipple for all the songs. He was feeling sad until Matt showed up and he needed to walked across the stage to receive his diploma. When it was his turn Matt was right there and when Austin saw his teacher he jumped up in the air and said, "Dad I did it." Then went for his paper. He was so scared. Every one laughed. We are proud of Austin and are excited for next year in Preschool at Santa Rosa.

Memorial Day Weekend

We were able to see the Wellys this weekend. Niki's birthday was that weekend and it was a good reason to get our toesies done. The boys had their father's day over night. Chris and Jackie's family was also down for a basketball tournament for Christopher. It was fun to see them. We got to see Aaron and Jayme's family. It was a fun Sunday. We got to swim at Glenwild with the Badgers and Jones family. The water was super cold but the kids seemed to enjoy. Thanks for the fun weekend. So I am the picture taker and I forgot the camera.
